This piece focuses on the phenomenology of human connection to objects. Is our attachment tied to our personalities and identities or the missing component we need to fulfill in the moment? Tarot cards were initially designed to be used for games, but early users then adapted them for fortune-telling purposes. The idea that playing cards may also be used as human life guidance cards is fascinating.
This work focuses on the human need to feel related to something in order for attachment to form, as well as the embodiment of that object that may be carried around and adapted to support us. This will be demonstrated in graphic character cards, with a game similar to the ideas of Tarot and Pokemon cards.
