Chrysalis: A Transitional State is unassuming on the outside as it seems to blend into any space it is placed in. Often overlooked, the black box contains the essence of a butterfly chrysalis, protecting and hiding the essence of life within and representing the fleeting yet beautiful aspects of life. Utilizing an Arduino and Neopixel ring the blinking pattern entices the viewer to interact. 

This piece stems from the curiosity that sparked my interest in being a New Media artist. I want to create a piece that shows curiosity in its truest form - exploration. The saying “Look, don’t touch” does not apply but rather I implore you to look and feel but most of all to experience.
