Prosperity Lies in these Patterns
Chanelle Abankwah
Influenced by my Ghanaian culture and the Kente cloth, Prosperity lies in these Patterns is a reimagined handmade homage piece that was created to display the beauty of the patterns, colours and the messages of the riches that lie within the culture.
Through this textured and experiential learning interactive art piece, you get to explore and get a feel for the hard work and knowledge that goes into the process of the beautiful art of kente. All the patterns and colors chosen within this work represent and have a symbolic connection to the different ways of wealth and prosperity. This serves as an opportunity for you to also create your own patterns and designs.
