Our project originated as a commentary on the continually rising housing market prices in Toronto and its surrounding areas. Our angle for this project is to err on the side of commodity fetishism, with a humorous twist. Using recognisable luxury logos juxtaposed onto houses that traditionally would not be seen as “luxurious” creates a dissonance that appears as humorous when “listed”.
