Layered Thoughts

Video games allow me to explore and immerse myself while facing real world difficulties. Even as I've enjoyed these environments it's still difficult to ignore the thoughts that I've internalised and want to escape. 

 

"Layered Thoughts" utilises augmented reality to showcase the varied thought processes that can occur while humans are in these immersive experiences. This includes the negative thoughts that can pop up within a viewer's, but also how they can serve as tools for relief and escape. 

 

Unity engine and the AR plugin Vuforia are incorporated in an app where users will point a demo phone at posters to view the multi-layered composition. Each composition consists of video game visuals that have given me a sense of nostalgia.
