In Apartment, I will be exploring themes of humanity, culture, and class in modern society. My goal is to highlight the concept of sonder, “where every passerby has a life as complex as our own.” For this piece, I created an apartment building that reflects the complexities of our own society. Each unit represents a unique story, reflecting past memories and experiences. Through 3D animation and modeling using Unreal Engine, I created an immersive experience that engages the viewer. The goal of the installation is to create a sense of immersion and to bring the viewer deeper into the experience of the piece; evoking empathy and reflection. As an extension of my personal experiences, this piece represents an empathetic journey exploring different cultures and people. The complexity of human nature is something that is often overlooked in our fast-paced society, and my goal is to remind the viewer of the richness and depth of each individual life.
